Streptomyces venezuelae ISP5230はjadomycin B 生産菌。E.coliにてjadMを発現、クローニングしている。jadM欠損株は、jadomycin生産がwild-typeの2-5%程度に落ちた。また、この欠損株の生育は良く、chloramphenicolの生産には変化がなかったことから、jadMがコードしているholo-ACP synthaseはjadomycin B合成の初期段階に関与しているのではないかと言っている。
