Tripeptidylaminopeptidase precursor

tripeptidyl aminopeptidase (Tap) geneを抽出、過剰発現させた結果、産物は分子量55000の分泌タンパク質で、主要なN末分解活性を有していた。

また、相同性やlipases、 esterases、acyl transferases等を考慮し、active siteはputative serine残基であるといっている。(このserine残基はorfH3で保存されていない。)

primer extensionで転写開始点の同定も合わせて行なっている。
Tap活性を欠いたmutant株でも普通に生育し、胞子形成することができる。
