6-methylsalicylic acid moietyの生合成に関与すると考えられており、PctSのACP(Pact_00200)とPctKのputative discrete ACP(Pact_00120)を修飾するのための経路特異的な4'-phosphopantetheinyl transferasesとして機能しているのではないかと推測している。
