module 8のKR domainは、機能的なKR domainsで保存されたNADP(H) bindingに関連するconsensus配列 GXGXXGXXA を含むものとして挙げられていない。

ttmI自体の変異株の作製は行われていないが、上流のttmJを不活化すると、TTMの生産が見られないことを確認している。
