helical lidの運動が、RifR active siteへの基質のアクセスを調節する(立体構造解析)。

RifRがCoA基質よりACP基質への反応を好むことは、type II thioesteraseがcarrier domainsから異常unitsを除くようなhousekeeping functionsをすると考えられていることに一致する。

FscTEは成熟伸長したpolyketideの放出を代償することができなかった。

FscTE and TylOのHydrolytic activitiesは、
propionyl-S-N-acetylcysteamine > methylmalonyl-S-N-acetylcysteamine
acetyl-S-N-acetylcysteamine > malonyl-S-N-acetylcysteamine

したがって、TEII はacyl carrier proteins(ACP)に結合するnon-elongatable residuesを選択的に除去することにより、効果的なpolyketide生合成を維持することが結論付けられる。
