salX (597aa): non-ribosomal peptide synthase
C, PCP

monensinなどのpolyether生合成では、discrete KS (KSX)が最終moduleの終末ACPに特異的に結合し、完全長polyketide鎖をdiscrete ACP (ACPX)へ移し、そこでoxidative cyclisationが起こることが報告されている。

sal clusterにおけるKSX候補は、PKSのC末ACPにfusionしている(SalAIX)。
ACPX候補はSalXである。SalXのN末に見られるNRPSの典型的なC domainは、active site His138がArgによって置換されており縮合活性がないようだ。
