polyetherに特異的なepoxidaseの配列に基づいた縮重プライマーを用いて、Streptomyces albus XM211からsalinomycin(sln)生合成gene clusterを同定。

Orf15 (855aa) : SARP family transcriptional regulator

orf14-orf17を削除すると、salinomycin産生はwildの45%に低下した。
この結果はSARP family transcriptional regulator gene orf15が削除されたためと考えられている。
