oxyJ を含んだplasmidを異種性発現すると、C-9が還元された産物が得られた。
また、oxyJ がactIII KRによって置換されても、産物の収量や選択性に変化がなかった。
よって、OxyJ は位置特異的なC-9 ketoreductaseである。
