Composition
Hipolypepton* 10 g   Yeast extract 2 g   MgSO4·7H2O 1 g   Resazurin 1 mg   NaHCO3 0.5 g   Cysteine-HCl·H2O 0.3 g   Distilled water 1 L   pH 7.0                     *Wako Pure Chemical Ind., Ltd., Osaka, Japan.     Mix ingredients except cysteine-HCl. Dispense the medium into suitable culture vessels under a stream of N2 gas and seal with butyl rubber stoppers. Separately autoclave cysteine-HCl as 5% solution under a N2 atmosphere. Prior to inoculation, aseptically and anaerobically add the cysteine-HCl solution.
