Composition
Yeast extract* 10 g   Ethyl alcohol (99.5%)* 15 ml   Sodium acetate 7.5 g   (NH4)2SO4 2.6 g   MgSO4·7H2O 0.25 g   CaCl2·2H2O 0.01 g   Sodium thioglycolate 0.5 g   FeSO4 (0.02 M) 2.5 ml   Na2MoO4 (0.01 M) 1 ml   MnSO4 (0.01 M) 1 ml   Potassium phosphate buffer (0.02 M, pH 7.0) 980 ml                   *Sterilize separately by filtration.     Mix ingredients except ethyl alcohol. Dispense the medium into suitable culture vessels under a stream of nitrogen gas, seal with butyl rubber stoppers, and autoclave at 121°C for 15 min. Aseptically and anaerobically add ethyl alcohol using sterile syringes.
