chloroeremomycin producerであるAmycolatopsis orientalisにおけるL-epivancosamineの生合成に関与する3-C-methyltransferasesにAAid62%

tylosinでL-mycarose生合成と関連する3-C-methyltransferase TylC3にAAid26%しかないのは、D-rubranitrose と L-mycaroseで3-C-methyl基の向きが立体化学的に逆であるせいかもしれない。

EvaC(ORF14)は、dTDP-3-amino-2,3,6-trideoxy-D-threo-hexopyranos-4-uloseのC-3にequatorialなmethyl基を形成する。
C-3 methyl基をaxialにするのは、この後の反応が関連している。
