VinJ, K, L, M, N, Oの酵素的解析を行っている論文。

放出されたphyrophosphateを検出するPhotometric assayにより、ATP-dependent ligase VinM and VinNの基質特異性を確認。

VinMは、L-alanine, glycine, serineのような小さなAAを認識する。
VinNは、3-methylaspartate(3-MeAsp)にのみ特異的に触媒する。また、そのmixtureにholo型VinL(ACP)を加えると、3-MeAsp-VinLが形成されることをLC-ESI-MSで確認している。

よって、VinNは3-MeAspを活性化し、VinLへの移動を触媒する。
