PMID: 8509343ではD184A変異でDnrK活性を完全になくしたが、
dnrK geneのin-frame insertion mutationによるmutantはRHOを蓄積し、carminomycinを蓄積しない。
dnrKで補完されdaunorubicin (DNR)産生を回復するのでdnrKのみが不活化されている。
carminomycin不在は急速な分解のせいではないことも確認している(data not shown)。
この結果はDnrKの2つめの知られていない機能を反映するのかもしれない。

も変換すると書いてある。

このように基質幅が広いので、carminomycin 4-O-methyltransferaseからanthracycline 4-O-methyltransferaseへ改名することを勧めている。
