emodinanthrone → anthraquinone emodinへ変換するanthrone oxygenase activity確認あり。
TcmHのようなoxygen activationのための補欠分子族を持たないので、peroxy anion intermediateを介した異なるメカニズムが提唱されている。

anthranol anionの形成で反応は始まり、それは固定された向きでTrp-67とのπ-π複合体形成によって安定化される。それからhydroperoxyanthroneがdioxygen添加によって形成され、続いてanthraquinone形成のためにdehydrateされる、と提唱されている(Fig9)。
