Antitoxin YefM(SCO2235)

Streptomyces lividans and S. coelicolorのYefM/YoeB familyに属するTA systemの機能解析している。
S. lividans antitoxin (YefMsl), toxin (YoeBsl)の精製とTA complex(YefM/YoeBsl)はbicistronic operonのプロモーター領域へこの複合体が結合することを示した。In vivo実験でtoxin YoeBslは開始コドン下流の3塩基でmRNAを切り出すことで転写開始を抑制した。
S. coelicolorのSCOs2235(yefMsc), 2236(YoeBsc)でも同様な結果が得られた。

Avil_00030がSCO2236(YoeB)に相当する。
