alpha-L-N,N-dimethylvancosamine (3-dimethylamino-2,3,6-trideoxy-3-C-methyl-alpha-L-lyxo-hexopyranose)の生合成での4-KRに割り当てられている。
参照しているのはvancomycin gene clusterでのdTDP-L-vancosamine生合成経路。
