C-1027の生合成遺伝子SgcR2。
制御遺伝子として同定されたSgcR1,R2,R3のSgcR3に関しての機能解析論文。

sgcR3過剰発現株はC-1027の産生能が上がり、sgcR3欠損株はC-1027が産生されなかった。
また、sgcR3欠損株の転写解析ではsgcA1やsgcC4のような生合成構造遺伝子だけでなく、制御遺伝子sgcR1,sgcR2の転写量も減少した。cross-complementation studyにて、sgcR3がsgcR1R2のプロモーター領域に直接結合することでsgcR1とsgcR2の転写を活性化した。

sgcR1,sgcR2,sgcR3の過剰発現株を各作製し、これらの株におけるC-1027とheptaene産生の変化および生物活性を見ている。
C-1027の生産にpositive activatorとして機能していることが示された。
