PctL: glycosyltransferase

大腸菌にて発現させたrecombinant PctLタンパクを使って酵素反応解析。PctLはcyclopentane ringを形成するより前にUDP-GlcNAcと3-aminoacetophenone間でN-glycosideの形成を触媒すると示された。

PtmJ: glycosyltransferase

ptmJ knockout mutantはpactamycin生産能が欠損したことから、PtmJはpactamycin生合成に関与するとしている。
相同性およびNCBI株でのPctLの機能解析実験より、PtmJはUDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-glucosamineと3-aminoacetophenoneのカップリングに関与するとしている。
