streptolydigin生合成gene clusterの報告。

上流ORFの挿入変異株の解析より、本ORFはstreptolydigin生産に関与する領域(PKS-NRPS system)であることが示されている。

本ORFの機能解析はしていない。

streptolydigin誘導体を検出するためL-rhodinose biosynthesisに関与するslg3からslg7までの遺伝子同時欠損株(SLM7H13)を作製。
検出された2つの化合物(streptolydiginone,demethyl-streptolydiginone)の産生は、糖鎖形成の前にエポキシ化とメチル化が起こることを示した。
slg3-slg7を含むプラスミドの挿入によりstreptolydigin生合成能の回復を確認している。
