streptolydigin生合成gene clusterの報告。

上流ORFの挿入変異株の解析より、本ORFはstreptolydigin生産に関与する領域(PKS-NRPS system)に含まれることが示されている。

motif構成と相同性よりTetR-family transcriptional regulatorとしている。
本ORFの機能解析はされていない。

slgR1 or slgR2を不活化するとstreptolydiginを産生出来ないので、SlgR1 と SlgR2はpathway-specific positive regulatorである。

slgR1 mutantは、streptolydiginの代わりに少量のstreptolydigin Cを生産した。

SlgR1 は3-methylaspartateへのglutamateの変換やputative glycoside hydrolases slgC1 and slgC2に関与するslgE1-E2の発現を制御する。
