barAのクローニングと機能解析論文。

barA mutantを作製し、in vivo,in vitroで発現解析など見ている。
BarAはvirginiamycin生合成の初段階で働くprimary transcriptional regulatorであることを示した。

autoregulatorであるvirginiae butanolide(VB)が生産されると、VBはBarAに結合しそのDNA結合能を失わせるため、BarAタンパク質は標的遺伝子プロモーター部位より解離し標的遺伝子の転写が開始され、最終的にvirginiamycin生産へとつながる。

S. virginiaeにおいて,autoregulator receptorであるBarAは,負の制御因子として機能していることが明らかとなった
