Azinomycin B生合成遺伝子クラスターの報告。

aziC7: Aminotransferase

AziC2-C11は、3つめのbuilding blockであるaziridino[1,2a]pyrrolidinyl amino acidの生合成に関与すると想定される。

aziC7を不活性化し機能解析をしている。aziC7欠損株はazinomycin B生合成能が完全に欠如した。さらにHPLC-MS分析でこの株に3-methoxy-5-methyl-naphthoic acid(1つめのbuilding block)が蓄積していることを確認した。wild株ではaziC7欠損株より多く蓄積していた(一部はazinomycin Bの分解による)。この知見から、AziC7はpeptidyl backbone formationに関与することが強く示唆された。
