aziC4: N-acetyl-gamma-glutamyl-phosphate reductase

AziC2-C11は、3つめのbuilding blockであるaziridino[1,2a]pyrrolidinyl amino acidの生合成に関与すると想定される。

AziC3, AziC4はオルニチン生合成経路の酵素と相同性を示す。AziC4はN-acetylglutamyl-gamma-semialdehydeを形成するための還元に関与する可能性が示唆された。

LysW, LysXを用いるlysine生合成経路の報告。

異種性発現、精製して得たLysW, LysX, LysY, LysZ, LysJ and LysKをputative cofactorsと共に反応させると、相当量のlysineが検出された。どれかひとつでも酵素を省略すると、lysine産生は観察されない。

LysZによってリン酸化されたalpha-aminoadipate(AAA)部分を含む中間体、その後LysYによって形成されるAAA semialdehyde部分を含む中間体は、実験はしてみているがそれらがおそらく不安定であったため検出できていない。
