awarhead cassette(UNBL-UNBV-UNBU-PKSE-TEBC)はactinomyceteにおいて全てのenediyne生合成遺伝子座で保存されているが、機能は未知のままである。enediyne warheadのformation, stabilization, or transport に関与しているのではないかと推測している。

UNBUは、7 or 8のmembrane-spanning alpha helicesを持つ内在性膜蛋白質だと推定している。
calicheamicinでも並びが保存されている。
