異種性発現、精製したChlB1 ACP domain, ChlB2, ChlB3, ChlB6を使い、ChlB1(PKS)-ACPからChlB2(ACP)への6-methylsalicylyl transferがChlB3によるものであり、ChlB6ではできないことをHPLCで確認している。6-methylsalicylic acid(6-MSA)では活性が検出されないので、ChlB1(PKS)-ACPから6-MSAとして放出されることなく、直接ChlB2(ACP)へ移動される。
