Accident cause investigated for Matsushita's FF kerosene heaters

The National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) today issued a press release on the investigation into the cause of carbon monoxide poisoning involving fan-forced kerosene heaters manufactured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.

In December 2005, NITE, in response to a request from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), investigated the cause of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning cases occurring earlier in the year involving kerosene fan heaters manufactured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. NITE submitted a report on the results of the investigation to METI in May 2006.
