The National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) held a press briefing on prevention of accidents with portable gas stoves.

- Among the product accident information submitted to the Product Safety Technology Center, accidents with portable gas stoves frequent. Whilst them, there have been accidents occurred due to improper use, and note that several accidents caused death or serious injury have been occurred. Accidents of portable gas stoves have widely reported in autumn last year. Thus, NITE decided to conduct a promotion of consumers’ awareness for proper use of portable gas stoves and prevention of such accidents.
