Putative ECF-family sigma factor

S. hygroscopicus 17997のcosmid libraryをスクリーニングしたところ、2つのlociに分離したAHBA生合成gene clustersが発見された。このclustersは配列相同性と遺伝子編成の比較からbenzenic AHBA gene cluster(gdn)とnaphthalenic AHBA gene cluster(shn)に分けられた。

当ORF(Fig. 1.(D)のun)を含むgdn cluster deleted mutantはgeldanamycin収量が75%減った。
最も保存されているgdnA, -O, -Pのdeleted mutantでもgeldanamycin収量が75%減った。
