User registration for HESS and HESS DB

License agreement for HESS

1.
HESS licenses are granted only to individual users. Users are required to register their name, organization and e-mail address.
2.
HESS software copyrights are owned by NITE and Bourgas. Users are requested to comply with all international conventions and rules related to copyrights.
3.
HESS licenses are not transferrable to other individuals or parties.
4.
Prior approval of NITE and Bourgas shall be necessary for the commercial use of HESS program. Prior approval of NITE and Bourgas is not required for the data or information incorporated in HESS.
5.
The programs incorporated into HESS are to be used exclusively in HESS.
6.
The reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembly of HESS programs and the modification of HESS programs are prohibited.
7.
Users are asked to clearly cite HESS when publishing data or prediction results obtained through the use of HESS.
8.
No warranty is provided with respect to the accuracy or completeness of material published in HESS.
9.
There is no guarantee of version upgrades or remedies for HESS defects.
10.
The specifications or contents of HESS can be changed without notice for improvement purposes.
11.
All liability for (material or non-material) losses or damage incurred by users or third parties arising from the use of content obtained from HESS is disclaimed.
12.
Users may receive an e-mail from the licensor inquiring about the results of HESS usage.

License agreement for HESS DB

1.
Users are required to register their name, organization, postal address and e-mail address.
2.
Please give us notice if the registered personal information is changed.
3.
Users are required to agree that NITE owns the registered personal information. NITE never use the information for purposes other than e-mail delivery service providing supporting information. Additionally, users may receive an e-mail from the licensor inquiring about the results of HESS DB usage.
4.
Copyrights of HESS DB programs and documents are to be owned by NITE, National Institute of Health Sciences, Fujitsu Limited and Tohoku University. Users are requested to comply with international conventions and rules related to copyrights.
5.
HESS DB licenses are not transferrable to other individuals or parties.
6.
The commercial use of the contents of HESS DB is prohibited. For example, it is including, without limitation, sale to third parties, of the contents such as data or information incorporated in HESS DB by extraction or copy from HESS DB.
7.
The programs incorporated into HESS DB are to be used exclusively in HESS DB.
8.
The reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembly of HESS DB programs and the modification of HESS DB programs are prohibited.
9.
Users are asked to clearly cite HESS DB when publishing data or prediction results obtained through the use of HESS DB.
10.

Regarding the handling of personal information:

Registered personal information is used only to provide you with supporting information such as software revisions and upgrades. NITE uses the mail delivery service (ASP) of an external entrepreneur. The registered personal information is properly managed in accordance with the "private-information-protection administrative rules" of NITE. Moreover, the external e-mail distribution service entrepreneur whom NITE has selected acquires the authorized "privacy mark" of the Japan Information Processing Development Center.
