NITE issued a press release on ignition accidents involving electric heaters (halogen heaters). Following a NITE investigation into the cause of the accidents, it was determined that some of the units that have been sold are equipped with faulty parts. Since four ignition accidents have been reported so far, and there is a possibility of similar fire-starting accidents occurring, NITE is urging consumers to immediately discontinue use of this product to prevent further incidents.
