Substances under the Chemical Substances Control Law

Specified General Chemical Substances

Specified General Chemical Substances are general chemical substances that have been confirmed to be highly toxic to human health and the inhabitation and growth of flora and fauna in the living environment.
If a given new chemical substance is determined as a "specified new chemical substance" after pre-marketing evaluation, it later becomes a "specified general chemical substance" when the name of a new chemical substance is publicized. Also, if the designation of a priority assessment chemical substance is rescinded and the chemical substance falls into the category of specified general substances, it becomes a "specified general substance".
